Galvanised teams and organisations

Some scale-ups grow so fast it's hard to keep up with organisational changes and demands. Others need to move their orientation from an R&D/product to a commercial mindset, or want to transform their culture to prepare for multi-national growth. Our organisational development work covers two main areas of scaling support: High Performance Culture (full teams) and Emerging Leaders (first-time managers).

1. Performance Culture

Big dreams and strategies don't amount to much without a culture of people that know how to collaborate towards a common goal. Yet, in ever-changing, high-risk, high-stress scale-ups environments, attention to culture sometimes takes a backseat.

We offer tailored cultural engineering journeys that help you apply best practices in building high-performance organisations and build a culture that is 'fit for purpose,' in terms of your preferences, industry and company development stage.

Outcomes

  • Reclaimed ‘winner's mentality’ and performance-orientation: everyone is clear on their goals and relevance to the overall success.

  • An engaged team, bound by purpose, accountability and eagerness to learn.

  • Enhanced team resilience, including the ability to let go of the old and create new patterns that serve the company mission, strategy and development stage.

  • A clear identity/set of values that are fit to bring the company to a next growth phase.

2. Emerging Leaders

Scaling also creates new leadership demands on the organisational 'middle' layer,’ as employees transition from specialist employees to managers that need to manage teams of their own and become 'multipliers.’

HBS studies show that strong middle management accounts for 22 percent variance in revenue growth, making it as important as R&D and IT investments. Emerging Leaders journeys combine individual skill development with peer learning. Topics are always linked to your company's business goals and priorities.

Outcomes

  • A strong and empowered organisational middle layer.

  • Improved decision-making, communication, information flow and collaboration between teams and departments.

  • Improved project and performance management.

  • Reduced need for MT involvement in daily operations.
